Product Liability Lawsuit for Ninja Blender & Pressure Cooker Injuries
If you or a loved one has suffered injuries due to a defective SharkNinja blender or pressure cooker, you may have a right to seek compensation through a Ninja blender lawsuit. Blending up a smoothie or cooking some spaghetti sauce shouldn’t land you in the ER—but unfortunately, some owners of SharkNinja blenders and pressure cookers are finding themselves in that painful situation.
When we spend our hard-earned money on a product, we trust that it is safe. SharkNinja blenders and pressure cookers have been linked to dangerous malfunctions, including detached blades, pressure buildup, and faulty lids. These defects can end up leaving consumers with severe lacerations, burns, and more.
Consumers deserve better, and Bernheim Kelley Injury Lawyers is here to drive that point home. Our product liability practice group has already filed a Ninja blender lawsuit on behalf of a New Jersey woman who suffered severe injuries after a Ninja blender explosion and a Ninja pressure cooker lawsuit on behalf of a California man who was burned due to a faulty lid. We are actively investigating these cases and assisting consumers across all 50 states with their claims.
Remember, at Bernheim Kelley, we’re Keeping It Real. That means we stand with you and champion your rights to get the compensation you deserve. Big companies have big teams of lawyers fighting for them, but you have us. We know what we’re doing, we’ve done it before, and we don’t back down from a fight.

August 2026 Update: Bernheim Kelley Files Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooker Lawsuit
On August 11, 2026, Bernheim Kelley filed a second product liability lawsuit against SharkNinja Operating LLC, this time on behalf of a California man who suffered serious burns to his hands, chest, and arms.
According to the complaint, the lid of his Ninja Foodi TenderCrisp OP302 pressure cooker came open while the unit was still under pressure, spraying superheated food and steam onto him. The case was filed in federal court in Massachusetts, where SharkNinja is headquartered.
The OP302 is among the Ninja Foodi OP300 Series pressure cookers recalled in May 2025 because the pressure-cooking lid can be opened during use, allowing hot contents to escape and posing a burn risk.

What Is the Ninja Blender Injury Lawsuit All About?
The Ninja blender injury lawsuit involves allegations that SharkNinja Operating, LLC, manufactured and sold dangerous and defective blenders that caused serious injuries to consumers. These injuries seem to stem from malfunctioning blade assemblies, pressure buildup, and deficient safety mechanisms. The result: a Ninja blender exploding or ejecting dangerous materials.
Bernheim Kelley has filed a product liability lawsuit on behalf of a New Jersey woman who suffered severe injuries when her Ninja blender malfunctioned. According to the complaint, the blade detached from the base while the blender was in use, causing the scalding hot contents to be forcefully ejected onto her. She suffered serious bodily injuries, physical pain, and mental anguish and is seeking compensation for medical expenses and suffering.
SharkNinja blenders have been reported to malfunction due to flaws in the blade assembly and sealing mechanisms. The Ninja blender lawsuit alleges that SharkNinja was aware of these risks, but instead of taking corrective action, it continued to market and sell these dangerous products to consumers. SharkNinja’s failure to warn consumers about known hazards and its decision to prioritize profits over safety raise serious questions about corporate responsibility.

What Is SharkNinja?
SharkNinja Operating, LLC, is a Massachusetts-based company that manufactures and sells household appliances, including blenders, pressure cookers, and coffee makers. SharkNinja has faced previous recalls, yet the company seems to have continued to market and sell products without adequately addressing the risks they pose.
In November 2015, SharkNinja recalled approximately 1.1 million Ninja BL660, BL663, and BL665 series blenders due to a laceration risk. Consumers reported that if they poured or inverted the pitcher after removing the lid while the loose stacked blade assembly was still inside, it could cause serious cuts. SharkNinja received 53 reports of lacerations related to this issue.
For a company that states, “We exist to positively impact people’s lives every day in every home around the world,” this type of negligence should be unacceptable. SharkNinja markets itself as selling “high-quality, reliable, 5-star rated products.” Their failure to address known safety issues paints a very different picture.
What SharkNinja Products May Be Defective?
SharkNinja manufactures a range of blenders and pressure cookers that have been linked to consumer injuries. Defective models may include:
- Ninja Nutri-Blender Pro with Auto-iQ
- Ninja Nutri-Blender Pro with Auto-iQ Plus
- Ninja Blast Portable Blender
- Ninja Blender Plus
- Ninja Single Serve System Plus
- Ninja Foodi Power Nutri Duo
- Ninja Foodi OP300 Series Multi-Function Pressure Cookers (See Below)
- Ninja Foodi Power Blender Ultimate
- Ninja Intelli-Sense Kitchen System
- Ninja Kitchen System Plus
- Ninja 4-in-1 Kitchen System
- Ninja Intelli-Sense Blender Duo
- Nutri Ninja with FreshVac Technology
- Nutri Ninja Pro
- Nutri Ninja 2-in-1
SharkNinja products are widely available at major retailers, including Walmart, Target, Costco, and Bed Bath & Beyond, which makes the potential risk to consumers more frightening.
Why Are Ninja Blenders Exploding?
The core issue concerns the blade assembly and pressure building inside the blender’s container. As the high-speed blades generate friction, the contents inside the blender can heat up rapidly, even though the ingredients are cold or room temperature. When the pressure rises too high, or the blades detach, the contents can be explosively ejected, causing severe injuries like deep cuts and burns.
SharkNinja’s failure to adequately address these design flaws has put countless consumers at risk.
Bernheim Kelley Injury Lawyers is actively investigating cases involving Ninja blender injuries and helping consumers nationwide. We know how to take on big companies and hold them accountable. The 2025 Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooker Recall
On May 1, 2025, SharkNinja announced a voluntary recall of every Ninja Foodi OP300 Series Multi-Function Pressure Cooker, working with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada. The recall covers approximately 1,846,400 units sold in the United States and approximately 184,240 units sold in Canada. It is CPSC Recall No. 25-247.
The reason given for the recall is that the pressure-cooking lid can be opened while the cooker is in use, allowing hot contents to escape and posing a burn risk. At the time of the announcement, the CPSC reported that SharkNinja had received 106 reports of burn injuries, including more than 50 reports of second- or third-degree burns to the face or body, and that 26 lawsuits had already been filed.
Which Ninja Foodi Models Were Recalled?
The recall covers all Ninja Foodi OP300 Series Multi-Function Pressure Cookers. The recalled units are black, hold 6.5 quarts, and carry a model number on a label on the side of the cooker. The covered model numbers are:
- OP300
- OP301
- OP301A
- OP302
- OP302BRN
- OP302HCN
- OP302HAQ
- OP302HW
- OP302HB
- OP305
- OP305CO
- OP350CO.
Letters or numbers printed after the model number are not part of the model designation. A unit labeled OP301 I07, for example, is a model OP301. Replacement OP300 series lids purchased separately are also covered by the recall.
The cookers were sold at Walmart, Costco, Sam’s Club, Amazon, and Target nationwide, and online at those retailers and at ninjakitchen.com, from January 2019 through March 2025 for about $200.
Does a Recall Stop Me From Filing a Lawsuit?
No. A recall remedy is a product repair, not a settlement of a personal injury claim.
SharkNinja is offering a free replacement lid, and registering for that lid does not by itself give up a claim for burns you already suffered. If you were injured and you have signed or accepted anything from the manufacturer or an insurer, have a lawyer read the actual document before you assume where you stand.
Have You Been Injured by a Defective Ninja Blender or Pressure Cooker?
If you have suffered injuries from a defective Ninja blender or pressure cooker, you aren’t alone. Manufacturers have a responsibility to design and produce safe products. But when companies cut corners and put profits over people, they need to be held accountable, and that’s exactly what Bernheim Kelley Injury Lawyers intends to do.
These injuries aren’t just unfortunate accidents. They are the result of corporate negligence. SharkNinja marketed these products as safe while potentially knowing about the risks. When you buy a product for your home, you expect it to work safely, not to leave you scarred and injured. You put your trust in these products, and SharkNinja failed you.
After suffering an injury from a defective Ninja blender or pressure cooker, the path to justice starts with action:
- Seek immediate medical attention for your injuries. Your health always comes first!
- Preserve the evidence. Keep the defective product, packaging, and any medical records. If your pressure cooker is part of the recall, you can still register for the free replacement lid, but keep the original lid rather than discarding it. The lid and the silicone sealing ring are often the most important physical evidence in a claim.
- Contact Bernheim Kelley Injury Lawyers. We have the experience, the resources, and the determination to take on SharkNinja and fight for the compensation you deserve.

How Long Do I Have to File a Ninja Blender Lawsuit?
The statute of limitations for product liability claims varies depending on the state where the injury occurred. Some states may allow only 1 year to file a claim, while others may provide up to 4 years or more. Because these deadlines can differ so much, you must act swiftly to pursue your Ninja blender or pressure cooker injury lawsuit. Failing to file within the legal timeframe will likely mean losing your right to compensation.
