Dor Scwartz, Esq.

Trial Attorney | Personal Injury and Consumer Protection

Over $10 Million Recovered for Clients

Representative Results

Dor Scwartz, Esq. is a Florida trial attorney who represents injured people and consumers against the insurance companies, corporations, and other defendants responsible for their harm. He has recovered more than $10 million for his clients and has represented over 1,000 individuals across the state.

His practice covers wrongful death, medical malpractice, premises liability, automobile and trucking collisions, catastrophic injuries, and other negligence claims, along with a growing consumer protection docket. Dor handles every case personally.

Dor prepares every file as though it is going to trial. That preparation gives his clients leverage at the negotiating table and readiness in the courtroom when a case does not settle. He has tried cases to verdict, including serving as first-chair counsel in a Broward County civil jury trial that returned a verdict for his client, and he has tried multiple bench trials.

His recoveries include a $3.75 million wrongful death result, a $1 million medical malpractice result, a $600,000 premises liability settlement, and a series of six-figure recoveries for clients injured in motor vehicle collisions.

Dor earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, where he spent two years as Lead Editor of the International Comparative Law Review and was named to the Dean’s List. He graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations.

Dor serves on the board of the Young Lawyers Division of the Broward County Trial Lawyers Association. He is fluent in Hebrew, both spoken and written, and represents Hebrew-speaking clients throughout South Florida.

A large part of Dor’s consumer practice is holding debt collectors and telemarketers accountable under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act (FCCPA). People are often surprised to learn that owing a debt does not strip away your rights. He has recovered thousands of dollars for clients who came to him exhausted from the calls, only to walk away with the harassment stopped and money in their pocket. In one recent matter, Dor took on a client who was being pursued for more than $4,000 in debt and, after two months of litigation, not only got the entire balance wiped out but secured an additional $1,000 in the client’s pocket.
